Tea dyed books. I dyed some books that I picked up at the thrift store. I "defaced" them, made up a batch of strong black tea, and soaked the books for several minutes each. There are a few ways the same affect can be achieved. I saw a post by
Savvy Southern Style and she talked about her sister who had bought a stack of books like these ones I have here. Savvy showed how she aged the books and tied them up with jute string. They add texture and interest to a vignette, not to mention, they are white with a homemade patina!
